Looking for a fun and educational activity for Valentine’s Day?

This Valentine Themed Color and Find is perfect for classroom parties, homeschool families, and anyone looking for engaging, no-prep worksheets.

Benefits of Color and Find Activities

Color and Finds are basically I Spy worksheets with a coloring twist. These type of I Spy activities work on:

  • Visual discrimination: These simple activities help children pay attention to detail and focus on the ability to differentiate between different shapes, sizes, and designs, which can help build a good foundation for reading and writing.
  • Counting: A great way to reinforce counting. This particular activity works on counting up to the number 10.
  • Handwriting: Children will improve their handwriting skills, as they write the correct numbers in the answer slots.

These type of activities also help:

  • Build creativity: Unlock creativity by offering a vast amount of colors and remember that the options are endless! Every completed coloring will be different and unique.
  • Increase attention span: Counting and coloring each element calls for focus and concentration.
  • Develop fine motor skills: As children grip their writing utensils and try to be precise in their coloring, those little hands are getting strengthened and those fine motor skills are improving.
  • Reduce stress and anxiety: Coloring has a serious calming effect on the mind. It helps you be present, in-the-moment, and reduce negative thoughts.
